“Still amazing seafood.”
The Troyeville Hotel has been going for over 100 years now and the quality of the food in the restaurant has remained amazing.
They are “famous” for their seafood, but their Portuguese espetada, chicken, etc, etc is great and prices very reasonable.
It is about 5kms/3miles from central Johannesburg, and about 20kms/12miles from Sandton.
Just a note to all non ‘Johannesburgers’, those who do not know the area and specifically overseas visitors, rather go with someone who is familiar with Troyeville, rather than by yourselves.

The Troyeville Hotel and restaurant has been going, it seems forever, and their seafood is still amazing.
They specialise in Portuguese food and serve the most amazing prawns at good prices.
Their chicken peri-peri is great, as are their starters.
Prices are good.
Definitely worth a visit, but if you do not know the area or are not from Johannesburg, go with friends.
