“Very good restaurant with great service.”
We went to the Greek Fisherman, at the Waterfront in Cape Town for dinner.
There were 3 of us, and we each ordered something different.
From the grilled prawns to the line fish, calamari and fillet, the food was all really good and reasonably priced.
It was my wife’s birthday and they went out of their way to make it special.
The service was excellent.

“I’m actually in a bit of a quandary as to what to say.”
The Greek Fisherman has moved from the V&A to Sea Point. The food when they were there was great.
The restaurant is about 4km/2.5 miles from the city centre of Cape Town.
The first time we went there was for lunch and the 5 of us ordered differing types of Yiro.
Three of my friends said their food was good, and the other one said hers was ok.
I ordered a lamb Yiro as did one of my guests who said hers was good.
Mine was terrible, but I persevered, thinking if all the others said theirs were good, perhaps I was just being picky, but I really wasn’t. It was dry and tasteless.
I decided to go again remembering how good the food was when they were at the Waterfront, and hoping that it was just an aberration.
Unfortunately my meal, was again terrible.
Two of us ordered seared salmon.
Obviously the chef did not have a clue what seared meant and presented us with salmon that would have been great if served as sushi.
We asked the waiter/waitron/server to please ask the chef to actually sear it.
It came back cooked.
We ate it anyway.
There were 10 of us at the dinner and 6 said their food was great.
So perhaps it’s just me.
