“Great hotel on the beachfront.”
The Radisson Blu Azuri, is situated on the north east coast of Mauritius.
We were there in the beginning of May of this year. The temperature ranged from about 24-29 degrees Celsius / 74-84 degrees Fahrenheit, and the water temperature about 24C / 74F.
The scuba diving is great.
The hotel itself is wonderful and the staff very obliging.
The breakfasts and dinners are buffets and are very good although the dinners are somewhat repetitive.
Although the Saturday seafood dinner is amazing.
We did not go for the “full package” which includes lunch and drinks as not only can I not have 3 full meals a day, but it gave us opportunity to go to other restaurants, as the hotel does allow you a voucher to go to a few other restaurants.
Mauritius is a small island and the distances between the towns and coast to coast are minimal, however the roads are narrow and a lot of traffic has to be negotiated, so don’t be fooled.
16kms/10miles can take you over an hour.
There are a few small malls and the main city Port Louis has improved enormously over the years.
There are, of course, the obligatory farmers markets which have really good fresh fruit and vegetables, and of course clothing, etc.
