The Fire and Ice is one of 4 great and fun concept hotels in South Africa.
The one at Melrose Arch, +- 6kms/4 miles from Sandton City is in the Melrose Arch complex which comprises Hotels, restaurants, apartments and office blocks amongst others.
It is essentially a self contained mini town.
The hotel is a 4* hotel.
Each room has a slightly different configuration and the passages have pictures of differing movie and theatre stars.
All the entertainment takes place on the first floor with a swimming pool, bar area and tables where food, hamburgers, salads, steaks etc are served from early to very late.
Friday and Saturday nights are reserved for teenagers and those you think they are teens with extremely loud music and fun evenings.
So perhaps walk out to one of the myriad great restaurants in the complex.
I must mention their amazingly great milk shakes.
I find their extra large Lindt milk shake definitely a must.
