Table Mountain is a must visit in Cape Town and the cable cars are a must unless you feel extremely energetic, then you can walk.
The cable cars are round, thus affording everyone a great view of Cape Town.
They leave roughly every 12 minutes in season.
Get there early otherwise you could be standing in the queue for up to 2 hours.

The cable car is the only way, of course excluding the highly energetic amongst us, to get to the top of Table Mountain.
It is comfortable, incredibly safe and a great experience.
It does not run in high winds, when there is mist over the mountain, or at night.
Please check the weather conditions and whether the car is running.
Also it is much easier to book ahead, it does save a long wait.
