“A good 3 star hotel.”
The Dive Inn Resort is essentially a family fun hotel.
It has become somewhat jaded and desperately needs a total face lift.
They have started renovating and the rooms they have done are great, however a lot of work remains to be done.
The swimming pool is well kept and there is daily entertainment.
However the pool chairs and cushions desperately need renovating.
The hotel also needs to immediately get new chairs, umbrellas and cushions on ‘their section of their beach’.
There are a lot of great beaches in the area so rather go there, and most are free.
They also need to upgrade their shuttle service and have it go more that once a day.
One of the Time Sharing rooms we were originally shown was, in a word, despicable.
The fridge was rusted with shelves missing.
The 2 element stove was also rusted and had food caked over it.
The pots and pan, yes I did say pan, were buckled and awful.
The rest of the apartment was not much better.
When I went downstairs to explain to the powers that be exactly what I thought, we were moved to a newly renovated room which was good.
Mohamed, I think he was the room manager, was really amazing and sorted out our problems. Thank you Mohamed.
I must also mention, and to my shame I cannot remember his name, the guy who cleaned our room. He came downstairs to the pool area to tell me I had forgotten to lock our safe. Ok yeah I know, my wife has already explained to me what she thought of my action in forgetting to lock the safe, but I cannot compliment him enough.
Thank you again.
All that being said, if a fair amount of money was spent on the hotel it could become a great 4 to 4 and a half star resort.
