The Raj is a very good Indian restaurant at the Michelangelo Hotel complex in Sandton.
There are a number of Raj restaurants around and about the Sandton / Fourways / Rivonia areas in greater Johannesburg. Whilst some are really good, some are average, so check on which one you go to.
Their food is great but somewhat expensive.
Service is good.
What we normally do is order a few half meals and share, which lets us taste a bigger variety.
My favourites are the lamb dishes and the biryani is fantastic.
Even if you think you can take really hot curry, be careful, you could end up crying.
