“Excellent restaurant.”
Signature is one of Sandton’s top restaurants.
It is about 3kms / 1.9 miles from Sandton City in the Morningside Shopping Centre.
The food is usually outstanding, although very pricey.
There were 8 of us there for dinner tonight.
All the courses were delicious, although my pig’s belly could have been better.
It was fattier than it should have been and could have been crispier.
Their wine selection is excellent but again expensive.
The one thing that really annoyed me and was totally unnecessary was that we asked for a small, almost an espresso sized cup of sorbet with a sparkler in it, as a token as one of the party was having her birthday.
We had just spent over R3000.00 on the dinner, but we’re charged extra for that.
It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth and is totally unnecessary.
On the positive side our waiter Martin was amazing.
