Table Mountain has been named as one of the 7 New Wonders of the Natural World.
It has stunning views of not only the city of Cape Town, but of a vast swathe of the peninsula.
You can walk up the mountain. It is not an easy walk but well worth it.
The cable cars take you there and back, and the view in the car is great.
However the queues in season are unacceptably long and prices are high.
Get there early.
There is a way to book beforehand and I strongly recommend it, as you bypass the long, long, long queue and have an acceptable wait.
